"Web-based file hosting service useful for sharing files"
Written By

Everyone working on different computers and wanting to share files with others, might be interested in the product presented here, called Dropbox.

With Dropbox you get online cloud storage, file synchronization and there is client software for various platforms available as well.

As such, we here present the Windows client.

It will create a special folder on your computer that is accessible via the Windows Explorer as well as from its icon in the system tray area alongside your clock.

This way you can easily make files available to other Dropbox members as you can share a folder or a link to a specific file with others. As your files are stored in the cloud, you will also have access to them from any computer connected to the internet.

Furthermore, there's also a version history log available for all items. As such, you can easily see who made any changes to the shared items and when they occurred.
