“Give the drummer some” is a famous phrase and refers to an old school hip-hop track derived from the James Brown song “Funky Drummer”. Why do we tell this? Because the drum is a basic part of the music, and a good drum sequence has become as important as the melody, especially in modern dance music. So, at a given point in history, the drum machines got invented and one of the musical genres pioneering with these is called hip-hop. Now, whether you like this genre or not is not the question, the fact is modern music wouldn't have become what it is now without the drum machine.

So, here we present you CheckBeat, a virtual drum machine you can use to create your own beats in a simple and fast manner.

With CheckBeat you can become the funky drummer and then accompany your beat with some live guitar, for instance. With this application you can set the BPM, pattern length, and others.

Note this is a standalone program, not a VST plug-in that can be used in a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
