"A CPU benchmarking application you might appreciate"
Written By

If you’re looking for a simple yet effective CPU benchmarking application you might have landed on the right page because here we present the one called wPrime. It’s a freeware utility you might want to add to your benchmarking toolkit.

Basically, what wPrime will do is compute an overall value you can compare with other computers. Now, to obtain that reference value a recursive call of the method for estimating functions of Newton is used. Here’s not the place to enter into the mathematical and technical details involved, but it results to be a relative quick multithreaded solution.

Furthermore, hardware information can also be retrieved, including clock speed, voltage, code name and cache size, among others, using CPU-Z. If the latter, which is presented elsewhere on Winportal, is also installed on your system even more features become available. Proceed to the download to find out more about them.
