VOB2MPG

VOB, which stands for Video OBject, is the container format for DVD movies, and can contain video, audio, subtitles and menus. And although DVD movies can be played on (almost) any desktop computer or laptop, if you want to copy the movie to your drive, it must be converted. VOB2MPG is a simple and easy-to-use application that allows you to convert VOB files of DVDs into MPEG files. All you have to do, is to insert the DVD and configure the output settings and destination folder, and wait until the extraction is complete.

VOB2MPG features a user-friendly interface where you can select the VOB files by chapter. Since a DVD movie normally is divided into different VOB files, you can also select just one of these to convert. After this you can configure the output aspect ratio, window dimensions, and even force AC3 audio. Additionally, the application can remember these settings for future conversion, and if you convert a series of VOB files of a DVD, the application will automatically re-order them after the conversion.
