Simple Webcam Capture is a program that will allow you to take snapshots from your web cam and has been specifically designed to use minimal resources. Normal web cam capturing software will usually leave the web cam turned on all the time. What makes this application different is that it will turn off the camera between snapshots, using less resources of your computer.

Simple Webcam Capture has a clear interface and has a box on the bottom left that will guide you through the process. To start capturing images from your web cam you simply have to select the camera or capturing device that you want to use. After this you have to add the destination path of where you want the image to be stored and that's it. You can configure a hot-key to capture the images, instead of having to open the program every time you want to take a snapshot.

Simple Webcam Capture has got many features. You can use the command line to capture an image, there is a timer that you can set which will take a snapshot in every certain amount of time. You can save these images to a BMP or JPEG format. There is also an option available that will allow you to run a program automatically after the picture has been taken. This means that you can have another program opened, which will send the captured image to your phone or that will convert all of the images to a different format.
