The Windows Registry is a a hierarchical database in which the configuration settings and options are stored. It contains settings of the kernel, device drivers, services, user interfaces, and even the applications that run on the platform. Windows comes with a built-in application called Regedit, that allows you to edit the Windows Registry manually. However, its interface is not as friendly as most of us would like, but fortunately there are other registry editors, and RegEditX is one of the best.
RegEditX features a friendly and easy-to-use interface that will make your registry editing more productive than ever. It features a 'Combo' box that automatically tracks all the registry entries that you have viewed or edited lately, and it also allows you to cut, copy and paste keys from the clipboard. Additionally, the program automatically resizes columns to show the key values optimally, so you don't have to resize the columns manually. RegEditX was designed for Windows XP, Vista and 7.
