PaceMaker

PaceMaker is a plug-in for Winamp, which has been designed to allow you to modify many aspects of the song that you are listening to. The application is able to change the pitch (music key) of the tune, without affecting the tempo. It allows you to adjust the tempo of the music without changing the pitch. The utility can also be used to change the playback speed of the song. All of these settings can either be done at the same time or can be adjusted individually.

PaceMaker has other functions: it has an option to remove the voice from the song, so that you can only hear the instruments playing; it can save the new configuration; and you can reset all of the options with just one click of a button. This plug-in is very useful if you want to be able to change the tempo of the music to be suitable for dancing, to change the key that the tune is in to match the singers' voices, and if you want to slow down the playback speed of the music to be able to write the lyrics of the song.
