"A screenshot capture application you might call from the CLI"
Written By

The product presented here is called MiniCap. It’s not your average screen capture utility, but a screenshot capture solution you might invoke from other utilities or the command-line interface (CLI). Among its features you’ll find support for capturing windows by process ID, name or handle, interactively, as well as launching and terminating applications.

As such, this might be just the utility you’ve been looking for to run in the background and use it without requiring interactivity.

So, MiniCap can be executed from the CLI with or without arguments, depending on your purpose. Now, here’s not the place to enlist all possible arguments, but should you be interested in finding out, consider proceeding to the download of this particular freeware utility.

If you’re familiar with the command-line using this tool shouldn’t be any problem to you.
