Hotspot Shield

Hotspot Shield is a very useful program that not only secures your internet connection but also allows you to access websites that have been restricted to your region.

Hotspot Shield creates a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to create a secure connection between your computer and Hotspot Shields servers which are located in the USA. Usually if you live outside of the USA websites such as Hulu are restricted to you, but since the servers are in the USA the website will allow you to access them. The VPN is encrypted with 128 bit SSL encryption, you will not need to worry about your data being intercepted.

Hotspot Shield stays in your system tray and it will have an icon that looks like a shield. When the shield is green it means that Hotspot Shield is connected and when it turns red it is disconnected. As soon as you install the program, you will be able to use it, there is no need to configure anything.
