Windows XP yoo yoo boot problem

Hi one of my machines gives me an strange error.
On boot right after it reads MBR i get an error
y∞ y∞ (yoo yoo but infinity char)
And nothing more.
Note that it's an infinity char.
I tried xp's repair but it didn't help and google left me in the dark.
Now what does this error mean and how can i fix it.
I can not wipe it and reinstall so i need to fix it.
